Riding clothing has to do two jobs at once: it must let you move freely and sit correctly in the saddle, and it should look smart whether you are schooling at home or competing.
Riding clothing has to do two jobs at once: it must let you move freely and sit correctly in the saddle, and it should look smart whether you are schooling at home or competing. Our equestrian clothing brings together breeches, riding tights, base layers, show shirts and jackets chosen for comfort, fit and everyday practicality.
From a grippy pair of competition breeches to a waterproof jacket for winter yard work, the right clothing makes riding more comfortable and more enjoyable. Below you will find the full clothing range alongside guidance on choosing the pieces that suit your riding.

Start with the fit in the saddle
Riding clothing is designed to be worn in a riding position, not just standing up. Breeches and tights should feel comfortable with a bent knee, and a jacket should allow your shoulders to move freely. Where possible, sit on a saddle horse or bend your knees when trying clothing on.
Match fabric to the season and the job
Lightweight, wicking fabrics keep you cool for summer schooling and competition, while fleece-lined and waterproof layers come into their own for winter. Many riders build a layering system, a base layer, a mid layer and a waterproof, rather than relying on one heavy coat.
Think about the rules for competition
Different disciplines and levels have their own dress requirements. If you are buying for competition, check the current rules of your governing body or show society so your clothing is both smart and permitted.
Equestrian Clothing: your questions answered
Breeches finish at the ankle and are worn with long boots or with short boots and half chaps. Jodhpurs are longer, finishing over the ankle, and are traditionally worn with short jodhpur boots, a style often chosen for children. See our dedicated jodhpurs and breeches guide for more detail.
Riding tights are extremely popular for schooling and hacking. Whether they are permitted in the ring depends on the discipline, level and show society, so always check the current rules before competing in them.
Most technical riding clothing is best washed at 30°C without fabric softener, which can clog wicking fabrics and grip panels. Always follow the individual care label, and fasten grip breeches before washing to protect the seat.
