A cooler is one of the most useful rugs you can own. Made from wicking fleece, it draws moisture away from a hot or wet horse after exercise or washing, helping them dry evenly without catching a chill.
Light, smart and versatile, fleece rugs also work well for travelling and as an under-layer, making them a tack-room staple all year round.

How a cooler works
Fleece wicks moisture from the coat to its outer surface, where it evaporates. This lets a sweaty or washed-off horse dry gradually without getting cold, far better than leaving them wet or using a non-breathable rug.
More than cooling
Coolers double as travel rugs, show rugs and lightweight layers under a turnout. An anti-pill fleece keeps its appearance and performance wash after wash.
Keeping it in place
A shaped fit with a fillet string stops the rug slipping while a horse moves around cooling down. Make sure it is the right length so it does not pull across the shoulders.
